Our Story is your Story
Casa Andes was built with one intention: to create a place where people don’t just escape — they transform.
We didn’t design a retreat. We shaped an experience.
Every path, every viewpoint, every piece of wood, every room, every ritual has been chosen with purpose.
Here, you don’t follow a schedule — you follow what your soul asks for.
Here, you don’t feel like a guest — you feel like family.
And here, the Andes aren’t a backdrop — they’re a quiet companion guiding you back to yourself.
Casa Andes is owned and operated by humans who care deeply about your well-being.
We host with heart. We cook with intention.
We welcome with presence. You’ll feel it the moment you arrive.
We are a boutique luxury wellness retreat and experiential hospitality destination located in the lush mountains of Filandia, Colombia. Designed as a sanctuary for restoration, creativity, and connection, Casa Andes blends modern comfort with Andean heritage, offering guests a curated environment where nature, wellness, and elevated service come together.

Carolina was born and raised in Colombia, in a land where mountains, rivers, and tradition weave themselves into daily life. During the violence of the 1990s, she left her country in search of safety, carrying a deep sense of rupture that made returning feel distant and complex. Yet, when she finally stepped back onto Colombian soil years later, something awakened within her. The land spoke to her. Her roots called her home.
Returning became a doorway to her own healing journey, a journey that helped her remember who she truly was, and the power held in her lineage, her culture, and the natural world that shaped her. Through this remembrance, she discovered that healing is not only personal; it is ancestral and communal. It is a return to belonging.
Now, as co-founder of Casa Andes, Carolina brings this wisdom forward. She envisions the space as a sanctuary of restoration and rejuvenation, where nature guides the pace, where the body softens, and where the mind and spirit find clarity. She believes that when we reconnect with the earth, we reconnect with ourselves. When we remember our roots, we remember our power.
Through her leadership and her heart-centered guidance, Casa Andes becomes more than a place, it becomes a homecoming.
Agostino Cangiano
Meet our Co-Founder and Chef, Agostino Cangiano
Agostino’s journey with food began early, at just fourteen, in the vibrant streets of Napoli, Italy. Surrounded by the scents, colors, and rhythms of true Neapolitan cuisine, he cultivated a deep devotion to the craft of pizza-making and the soulful simplicity of Italian cooking. This passion eventually carried him across the ocean, opening several restaurants in New York City and sharing the authentic heart of his culinary heritage.

When Agostino first arrived in Colombia, something stirred in him. He fell in love with the land, the warmth of the climate, the lushness of the mountains, and the abundance offered so generously by the earth. Here, he remembered that nourishment is not only about taste, but about connection: the soil, the hands that tend it, the ingredients harvested with care, and the community that gathers to enjoy them.
At Casa Andes, Agostino brings this philosophy to life. He understands that food becomes medicine when it is rooted in nature, prepared with intention, and shared in a space of presence. As co-founder and guardian of all things culinary, he envisions Casa Andes as a place where meals are always guided by the rhythm of the land, organic, seasonal, and lovingly farm-to-table.
Through his leadership, every dish becomes an invitation to slow down, to savor, and to reconnect with the wisdom of simple, honest ingredients. Agostino carries forward the message that eating fresh is a way of living well, and that real nourishment begins long before the food reaches the plate.
